Finding the time to post has been a challenge these past few days. Blogging is new to me and I am unfamiliar with the idea of documenting what I am working on.
At the moment, I am studying for my CCNA exam. To help with this, I created this CCNA Coach using ChatGPT.
I configured this AI study buddy using the CCNA exam guidelines and added my own instructions to try and make learning fun.
More than anything, I have found ChatGPT to be an excellent teacher. It is infinitely patient and will never laugh at or ridicule your questions. It will also answer the same questions over and over without question. Don’t understand one explanation? That’s ok, everyone’s learning style is different which is why I also configured my CCNA Coach to ask the user about their background to be able to relate the information to something the user is already familiar with so that the user can learn faster.
It was also fun to think in terms of the user. What would someone do with this tool? How can I secure it to prevent others from seeing the prompting I used? How can I make sure others use it in the way it was intended to be used? As well as a host of other questions about ensuring a good mesh with the users personality and language.
Creating this GPT was a lot of fun and a great learning project. I hope that other people will find it both helpful and amusing.
